Frankenstein Origins

Frankenstein is a landmark in human literature. The approach is totally new and the monster, the creation in the creation, has so much life that two centuries later, he has become an archetypal monster.

If Bram Stoker propelled Dracula from an obscure Romanian folktale into a modern myth, the Frankenstein's Monster seems to be born from Mary Shelley's imagination only.
